For families moving to Muirfield
When I moved to Muirfield the first thing I wanted to know was which daycare was closest, and then which one was actually good. Nobody had that written down anywhere. So here it is.
Start here
This is the part that catches people. Muirfield is one neighborhood, but Dublin City Schools assigns by street address, and two houses a few streets apart can feed different buildings. Anyone who tells you "Muirfield goes to X" without asking for your address is guessing.
Dublin City Schools has released updated elementary, middle, and high school boundaries that take effect in the 2027 to 2028 school year. If you are buying now, check both the current assignment and the new one before you fall in love with a house for its school.
The district's official locator. Type the street address and it returns the assigned elementary, middle, and high school. This is the only answer that counts.
What you actually tell clients about the elementary buildings, the middle school split, and how the redistricting is landing with the families you know. This is the paragraph nobody else can write, and it is the reason this page beats a Google search. Send it over however it comes out and we will shape it.
Daycare and preschool
Two of these have a Muirfield address, which means the drive is measured in minutes rather than a commute. The rest are elsewhere in Dublin and worth the drive depending on what you need.
Which centers currently have a waitlist and roughly how long, and which ones take infants. Those are the two questions every relocating parent asks first, and neither one is findable online. If you can answer those two, this page becomes the most useful thing in Dublin.
I keep a longer list with the waitlists, the ones that take infants, and the honest read on each. Tell me where to send it. If you are also weighing houses, I am happy to look at those with you.
